On April 17, 2008 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received investigative-lead information indicating that fugitive Brandon Joseph Ruddick (born December 1983) was present inside a residence located on SE Glen Echo in Milwaukie.
Earlier this month, Ruddick came to the attention of the Sheriff's Office when several citizens contacted the Sheriff's Office reporting themselves as victims of fraud. These unsuspecting individuals claimed they purchased event tickets online -- and soon discovered these purchased tickets were bogus.
As a result of these reports, Brandon Joseph Ruddick was developed as a suspect by Sheriff's Office authorities. He was also found to be a wanted felon -- on charges of similar activity in 2006 in the City of Cottage Grove in Lane County.
Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies responded to the Glen Echo address; while securing a perimeter at this location, they witnessed fugitive Brandon Ruddick exit the residence.
Deputies approached Ruddick as he was walking outside this residence -- and he was immediately taken into the custody without incident.
Brandon Joseph Ruddick was transported to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Jail and lodged on the following charges:
- Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument (2 counts)
- Theft 2 (2 counts)
- Identity Theft (Lane County Warrant: $50,000 bail)
