Two forensic sketches of the Maple Street residential robbery suspect:

On Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at 8:45 a.m., an armed residential robbery was reported to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The robbery reportedly occurred at 2415 SE Maple Street, in (Oak Grove) Milwaukie.

An adult female occupant at this address had reportedly just returned home to her residence after transporting her child to school. Immediately upon entering her residence, she recognized that the interior of her home had been ransacked. Suddenly, an armed male intruder emerged from the rear bedroom of the woman's home -- demanding she get down onto the floor. This armed suspect immediately departed out the front door of the home and was encountered by the woman's father, who was coincidentally just returning to the residence as well.

This armed suspect pointed a weapon -- described as a short-barreled Remington 12-gauge shotgun -- at the father in front of the residence. The suspect declared he just wanted to leave, and fled west from the residence on SE Maple.

Out of concern for his daughter inside the residence, this man ran into the home to determine that his daughter was safe and unharmed.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies, crime-scene technicians, detectives and tracking dogs responded to the scene in an effort to locate the suspect and process the residence for evidence. The suspect was not located.

Both victims were transported to the Sheriff's Office to provide details to investigators, and to work with the forensic artist to create an image of the suspect observed during this criminal event. The resulting sketches are linked above.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office personnel will be returning to the neighborhood this afternoon (Jan. 14) to canvas the neighborhood and show the suspect sketch to area residents.

This suspect is described as follows:

The suspect fled the residence with a short-barreled 12-gauge Remington pump-action shotgun. This weapon belonged to the homeowner, and was removed from the residence by the suspect during the robbery.

A reward is offered for information leading to the identification of this suspect responsible for this crime. Members of the public who would like to provide information to investigators are encouraged to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office confidential Tip Line at (503) 723-4949.
