Posted: Oct. 9, 2009, 10:04 p.m.

On Friday (Oct. 9, 2009) at 5:48 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received a call of a robbery alarm at Dotty's Deli 8269 SW Wilsonville Road, Wilsonville, OR.

Sheriff's Deputies assigned to police the City of Wilsonville responded to the call, arriving within two minutes. Deputies met with the female employee at Dotty's and confirmed that an armed robbery had occurred.

According to the victim employee and witnesses, the suspect is described as follows:

The male suspect had reportedly been in Dotty's Deli for some time before the robbery, playing video poker. The male reportedly went to the female employee; he talked to her and told her that the ATM was broken. As the female employee went with the suspect to the ATM, located near the back of the deli, the male suspect displayed a knife, stated that he also had a gun and that he wanted the money from the cash register and business safe. The male subject stated that he had done this many times before and that he would shoot her if she did anything to alert the customers.

The male subject left the building after getting the money. A witness followed the suspect and noted a dark-green, '90s-era Ford Taurus 4-door driving in an erratic manner as it left the area.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Robbery Det. Dan Kraus will be working the investigation in partnership with Sheriff's Det. Jeff Green, who is assigned to the Wilsonville Police. Anyone with information regarding the robbery should call either Detective Green at 503-682-1012 or Detective Kraus at 503-655-8218.
