Clackamas County to brief potential applicants for FEMA Public (Infrastructure) Assistance stemming from Mt. Hood flooding
Clackamas County has successfully obtained a Presidential Declaration for the mid-January 2011 winter storm and flood event on Mt. Hood.
This announcement is for those that may require federal disaster assistance for affected infrastructure. The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance program will be kicked off with a local applicant briefing Monday, Feb. 28 from 1 to 2 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Clackamas County Emergency Operations Center, 2200 Kaen Rd., Oregon City.The briefing is for all potential applicants, such as special districts (as listed in ORS198), school districts, local governments, state agencies, and certain private non-profits that incurred cost for eligible response activities and or sustained facility damage as a direct result of the disaster from Jan. 13 – 21.
Please note that attendance at this meeting is critical for every public agency or organization requesting public assistance even if they met with FEMA at their site visits two weeks ago.
