CCSO CASE # 09-19560

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office investigators are announcing the arrests of the remaining four males believed responsible for the Wednesday evening Blu-Ray disc thefts from the Happy Valley Fred Meyer store located on SE 82nd Avenue and Johnson Creek Boulevard.

On Wednesday, June 24 at 10:42 p.m., a group of five males entered the Fred Meyer in a well-orchestrated effort to steal the targeted Blu-ray discs. As one of the five males departed the store while being pursued by store security, another member of this group of five brandished a handgun -- allowing all the suspects to flee the scene and thwarting all continued enforcement efforts by Fred Meyer security.

Minutes after this incident, Portland Police stopped a subject matching one of the broadcast suspect descriptions on SE 82nd near SE Clatsop. This 17-year-old subject was subsequently taken into custody and later lodged in the Donald E. Long Detention Center in Portland.

As a result of the high-quality surveillance images obtained by the Fred Meyer store security and broadcast by media sources, a large number of suspect tips were provided by the public -- resulting in the identification of the remaining four suspects by Sheriff's Office investigators.

Thanks to this abundance of investigative lead information and televised exposure, all the subjects either surrendered themselves to police or were contacted by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office investigators on Thursday afternoon. Clackamas County deputies conducted the formal arrests of the subjects involved and lodged them in the Clackamas County Jail on the related charges.

Those arrested and charged are identified as:

Carl Edward Hollingquest Jr. ("Buster")

Jerry Lewis Harrison

Carlos Gonzalez Consuegra

Marlon Martice Smith

Timothy Calvin Massey

No inmate photographs are available at this time.

All adult suspects have been lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on the related charges, and are scheduled for their individual arraignments on these matters on Friday, June 26, 2009, at 3 p.m. in the Clackamas County Circuit Court in Oregon City.

All of these arrests were conducted without incident, and resulted in the recovery of the vast majority of the stolen Blu-Ray discs.
