CCSO CASE # 09-18879
On Friday, June 19, 2009, James Criswell of Tex Star Enterprises of Portland reported the theft of an orange 2007 Kubota tractor (model KX71-3R1) valued at $29,000. (A photo is linked above.)
Criswell reports that the stolen Kubota tractor was being used to excavate a site for the installation of cable at 25202 SW Petes Mountain Rd. in unincorporated West Linn. At the time of the theft, the tractor was parked and concealed in a secluded wooded area at the job site.
Tractor tracks discovered at the site indicate that the tractor was moved by the unknown suspect(s) down a driveway. The tracks end at the end of this driveway on SW Petes Mountain Road. The tractor was then loaded and transported from this location by the suspect(s) on some type of vehicle capable of moving this piece of machinery.
