Oregon Sheriffs report busy Memorial Day Weekend

Sheriff's Offices from around the state reported having a busy Memorial Day weekend.
Generally fair weather combined with the long weekend meant that more people were on the highways and engaged in holiday activities away from home.
All together, Oregon Sheriffs’ Offices reported that they made 87 arrests for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, and that they assisted other agencies or directly covered 2 fatal motor-vehicle crashes and 38 other crashes that resulted in injuries.
They also made 59 various felony arrests statewide, and 290 total arrests for crimes of all types.
In addition, 3 persons were arrested for Boating While Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
The time frame for the above incidents was from Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m. to midnight on Monday, May 27.
