Sheriff's Office takes Brandon Claggett back into custody

On Friday, July 10, 2009 at about 4:30 a.m., officers were requested to check the Oregon City residence where Brandon Claggett resides. The electronic monitoring device that Claggett was wearing had transmitted a tamper alarm.
When officers arrived at the residence, they found Claggett not at home. His pickup was gone. A broadcast was made concerning Claggett and his vehicle. It was believed his young son was with him.
At about 5:10 a.m., Claggett's vehicle was spotted in the Sandy/Boring area. Claggett was stopped and taken into custody by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies on charges of violating his release agreement.
Claggett has been lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on a full bail amount of $100,000. He will be in court on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 3 p.m..
Claggett's son has been returned to the child's mother unharmed.
