Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrests driver with multiple warrants after brief pursuit in Clackamas

CLACKAMAS -- On Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at 00:17 a.m., Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol deputies witnessed a subject wanted on multiple arrest warrants driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck with switched plates in the area of SE 122nd and Hwy 212/224 in Clackamas.
The suspect fled, starting a pursuit by deputies that lasted less two minutes -- and ended with the Ford pickup landing on its side and the sole occupant driver arrested at the scene. (Crash photos are linked above.)
The arrestee is Christopher James Stephen Gosson, age 41. He was medically examined, transported to Clackamas County Jail and lodged on the following charges:
- Violation of Stalking Order (2 counts)
- Contempt of Court -- Violation of Restraining Order (2 counts)
- Attempting to Elude a Police Officer
- Probation Violation -- Possession of a Controlled Substance -- Methamphetamine
- Violation of a Restraining Order (13 counts)
Gossan is scheduled to appear in Clackamas County Circuit Court on Monday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. to address these charges.
