Clackamas County Sheriff's Office seeks domestic-violence suspect

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Domestic Violence Unit has developed probable cause to arrest Matthew Marshall Ledbetter, age 30, on the following charges:


On Oct. 3, 2008 at 10:30 p.m. Matthew Marshall Ledbetter reportedly entered his estranged wife's residence in Clackamas, physically assaulting her and striking her with a handgun. This handgun has since been recovered.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:

Matthew Marshall Ledbetter is described as 6' tall and weighing 155 lbs. Two photos are linked above.

Ledbetter is believed to be operating a red and silver 1988 Suburban with unknown Washington plates.

He may also be living on (or otherwise associated with) a cream-colored 26' Well Craft cabin cruiser-type boat -- with a hull number displayed as WN2288RM. A photo is linked above.

Matthew Ledbetter is typically accompanied by his dog -- a gray-and-white-colored Great Dane.

Investigators believe Ledbetter may be frequenting the cities of Longview and Vancouver, Washington, employed as a house-painter. Ledbetter may also be visiting Junction City, Eugene and Fern Ridge, Oregon.
