On Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at 2:34 p.m., loss-prevention officers at the Sears store located at 11800 SE 82nd Avenue in Happy Valley observed three three young males entering the Sears tool department and selecting a large pair of bolt-cutters, a Craftsman mechanics tool set, and a set of Craftsman wrenches.

These selected items were then strategically placed at another location inside the store by a male suspect wearing a dark-colored t-shirt.

A few minutes later, this same suspect  in the dark-colored t-shirt was observed by security returning to the strategically placed tools, then rapidly departing the store with the merchandise without paying for them.

This suspect then fled the Sears Store with the merchandise and got into a waiting vehicle. Security personnel observed that this vehicle was occupied by all the subjects observed together minutes earlier inside the store selecting the stolen items.

The suspect vehicle was described by store security as a black 1994-type Acura Integra with no front license plate displayed. This vehicle was reportedly driven by the suspect male wearing a white t-shirt.

The male subject wearing a yellow t-shirt inside the store was observed riding in the rear passenger seat of this fleeing vehicle.
