Marine Unit responds after 10-year-old hit by Jet Ski on Willamette River

At approximately 3:30 p.m. today, a 10-year-old boy was struck by a Jet Ski while in the water after falling off a tube pulled by his family's boat.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit -- who responded to the area, along with Gladstone Fire Department and Gladstone Police -- the young boy was being pulled on a tube behind the family boat along with three others.  The boy fell off the tube and was hit by the Jet Ski, causing trauma injuries.  

The young boy was transported to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. His condition is unknown at this writing.

The Sheriff's Office Marine Unit is investigating.
