On Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 at 1:15 a.m., the Maddy's Deli at 10405 SE 82nd Dr. in Clackamas was robbed at gunpoint.

The robbery suspect -- later identified as Donald Joseph Reichardt -- was arrested by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies leaving the area in his 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup.

A ski mask, gloves and two handguns were recovered from Mr. Reichardt.

No one was injured in the robbery. Mr. Reichardt was allegedly acting alone, and no other suspects are at large.

Mr. Reichardt is currently being held in the Clackamas County Jail on $280,000 bail. He will be arraigned at 3 p.m. today (Monday, Aug. 8, 2011) on the following charges:

At 1:15 a.m., an employee of Maddy's Deli called 911 to report an armed robbery that had just occurred. The employee told dispatchers the suspect had pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. The victim described the suspect to responding deputies: The suspect was reportedly wearing a long blue coat and camouflage hat.

Deputies responded to the scene immediately. By 1:17 a.m., a Sheriff's Office deputy was behind a 1999 Dodge Dakota he had spotted leaving the area.

The deputy stopped the vehicle nearby. With the help of Milwaukie Police officers, the deputy detained Donald Joseph Reichardt, age 36, who matched the description of the armed robber -- including the long blue coat and camouflage hat.

Mr. Reichardt was armed with a semi-automatic pistol in a holster on his right hip.

He also had a ski mask and latex gloves in his pockets with a knife and two extra pistol magazines. A second semi-automatic pistol was found in his truck.

A witness from Maddy's Deli positively identified Mr. Reichardt as the armed robber.

Mr. Reichardt was interviewed, and admitted to his involvement in the robbery.

Mr. Reichardt was booked into the Clackamas County Jail.
