At 7:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, Wilsonville Police (Clackamas County Sheriff's Office) personnel were dispatched to a reported roll-over crash at 9835 SW Commerce Circle in Wilsonville.

Responding patrol personnel discovered that the sole occupant driver of this crashed vehicle had fled the scene -- but not before he'd been photographed by witnesses.

Investigating personnel also discovered that the crashed vehicle -- a green 1999 Honda Civic -- had been reported as stolen vehicle in Vancouver, Washington on Jan. 16, 2010. Investigators believe this vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, struck the curb and glanced off from a tree -- causing the vehicle to flip and land upside-down in the roadway. (Crash photos are linked above.)

Witnesses on-scene reported hearing a resounding crash, then observing the driver exit the vehicle, momentarily dazed and disoriented, prior to fleeing the scene. A concerned citizen, sensing something peculiar with the suspect, captures a cell-phone photo of him before the suspect fled the scene. (This photo is linked above.)

Police established containment in the area for one hour, but were unable to locate the suspect, who was last observed by witnesses moving on foot in a southerly direction in the area of SW Commerce Circle and SW Ridder Road. A K-9 team was also summoned to assist in the search.

This suspect has not been apprehended, and presently remains unidentified by authorities.

The suspect was described by witnesses as follows:

The crashed stolen vehicle was towed from the scene by M & M Towing.
