Sheriff's Office releases suspect sketch and vehicle info, seeks public's help in home-invasion robbery/shooting

At about 12:30 p.m. on April 14, 2009, two or more suspects forced their way into the residence at at 22757 SW Johnson Rd. in West Linn and confronted the lone resident there at the time, Jason Gardner (DOB 12-18-1978).

The suspects shot and wounded Gardner and then ransacked the house -- taking unknown items from the residence and leaving the scene in what a witness described as a teal-colored, early 1990s-model Honda Civic 2-door hatchback.

Motive for the crime is unknown.

Jason Gardner was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives responded, and attempted to determine the extent of the items taken from the residence.  

SUSPECT VEHICLE AND SUSPECT FORENSIC DRAWING RELEASED

An eyewitness saw a teal-colored, early 1990s Honda Civic 2-door hatchback parked in the driveway at the time of the robbery. The vehicle would be similar to the one in the picture linked above.  No license plate was noted.

The witness also saw an unidentified white male suspect -- approximately 5 foot 11, of medium build, younger than 30 years of age -- leaving the scene. The suspect is depicted in the forensic sketch linked above.
