At 11 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies responded to a report of a stabbing incident that occurred in front of the residential address of 8868 SE Jannsen Road in Clackamas.

Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene while American Medical Response paramedics attended to the stabbing victim -- identified as Elijah Stanley Antosh, age 35, who resides in Vancouver, Washington.

Elijah Antosh was described by investigators as bleeding profusely as medical technicians arrived on-scene. However, he was reportedly conscious and breathing while being transported to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland in critical condition.

Sheriff's Office Detectives were summoned to investigate this stabbing incident, and have been canvassing the neighborhood throughout the night interviewing potential witnesses.

Forensic technicians representing the Oregon State Crime Lab and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrived at approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 to process and seize any forensic evidence collected at the scene.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Crime Reconstruction And Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) have also arrived to participate in the investigation, obtaining precise measurements of the crime scene.

Investigators describe a very bloody scene in the parking lot -- which encompasses a rather large area where the victim traveled while injured. It is not revealed at this time what may have led to the stabbing -- and investigators have not revealed how many wounds the victim received as a result of the assault.

Mr. Antosh remains hospitalized at OHSU. As of 1 p.m. on June 27, 2009, authorities at the hospital report that Antosh remains in stable yet critical condition.
