The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office can now name the deceased driver involved in this morning's crash on South Springwater Road in Oregon City.

The deceased is identified as Alejandro Fragoso-Huerta (born May 1984); he resided in Oregon City. Alejandro Fragoso-Huerta was employed at a horse ranch, and also worked as a line cook at the Stone Cliff Inn. All of his immediate family reportedly resided in Mexico.

Investigators report that Mr. Fragoso-Huerta was in operation of a Toyota pickup that was sliding out of control into the oncoming lane of traffic at the time of the crash on the slick S. Springwater Road. He died at a local hospital as a result of his crash-related injuries.

At the time of the crash, Grant Carl Cole (born October 1961) was driving legally when his truck collided with Alejandro Fragoso-Huerta's after Fragoso-Huerta's truck slid of control into Cole's westbound lane of travel.

Mr. Cole was driving a 1995 Ford F-350 pickup and survived the brutal crash with Alejandro Fragoso-Huerta's 1982 Toyota pick-up.

This is determined to be a weather-related crash, and no citations were issued.
