UPDATED: Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit recovers deceased female found floating near Oregon City-West Linn Bridge
UPDATE, Sept. 18, 3:47 p.m. -- The deceased female discovered floating in the Willamette River on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 at 2:14 p.m. has been identified by the Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner.
The deceased woman, 58, resided in the Oak Grove area of Milwaukie.
The Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner notified the family of the deceased that the woman died as a result of drowning. Foul play is not suspected.

EARLIER: Sept. 17, 2008, 6:49 p.m.
An Oregon City man was walking on the West Linn side of the Willamette River at 2:14 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008), when he spotted a female human body floating a few yards downriver from the historic, arch-shaped Oregon City-West Linn Bridge.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office was alerted to this discovery, and dispatched members of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit to the scene.
Marine deputies confirmed the corpse discovery, and summoned the Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner to the scene. A member of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Unit also responded.
The body was reportedly exposed to the water and elements for a very brief period of time. The corpse did not display any overt signs of foul play; however, officials are only in the preliminary stages of this death investigation.
Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the deceased. The deceased is described as follows:
