Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Case # 09-18041
On Wednesday, June 10, 2009 between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., a woman had her purse stolen from a shopping cart while she was distracted and looking at merchandise inside the Ross Dress for Less located at 11211 SE 82nd in Happy Valley.
Carmen J. Lowrie, age 51, eventually realized that her purse -- containing all her articles of identification and credit cards -- had been removed from her cart while she was admiring handbags and sunglasses on display inside the store. Upon discovering the theft, Lowrie immediately reported it to the store manager and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
Two adult female suspects have emerged as a result of this theft investigation -- and are featured in the above-linked surveillance images.
It is suspected these two females stole the purse and immediately embarked on a shopping spree at Target, the GameStop, Walgreens and even a Dairy Queen. The above-linked surveillance images show the two suspects as they slurp the proceeds from an allegedly illegal transaction conducted at the Dairy Queen.
The aggregate amount of this theft is documented as $1,320.17. This total theft was accomplished by the two suspects in fewer than 45 minutes at the four mentioned stores.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is seeking the assistance of the public in an effort to identify these two female theft suspects.
