The audit, which will be performed by KEMA-Registered Quality Inc., is the second audit for WES since becoming certified as an NBP-certified agency in August 2007. Tri-City Service District was the 17th in the country to obtain certification.
Auditors will review multiple elements of the program to ensure that national standards are being met. NBP-sponsored audits occur each year in addition to internal audits that WES conducts to ensure program effectiveness.
"The Biosolids team is looking forward to this audit as it provides guidance in maintaining our exemplary biosolids management program. We intend to not only meet our requirements but exceed them” said Mona LaPierre, WES' Environmental Monitoring Manager.
A complete audit report is expected to be available October 1, 2009, and will be available on WES' Website at www.clackamas.us/wes
