Sheriff's Office identifies suspect in honeymoon-spoiling vehicle thefts; tips sought

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives have identified a subject wanted in connection with a New Year's Day theft from a honeymooning couple who were sightseeing along the Clackamas River in Carver.

Detectives indicate that ELLIOTT BLAKE JOHNSON, 38, of Oregon City, is wanted in connection with the theft of property -- including valuable immigration documents -- from the victims' automobile as it was parked unattended along the Clackamas River at the Carver Park Boat Ramp.

The detective assigned to this investigation is pleased to report that the critically important immigration documents belonging to the victim bride have been recovered and since returned to the victim.

The Sheriff's Office is grateful to the public who provided the Sheriff's Office with valuable investigative leads based on surveillance images of the suspect published and broadcast by the media -- resulting in the recovery of the stolen immigration documents and the identification of suspect Elliott Blake Johnson.

Once again, the Sheriff's Office is seeking your assistance with efforts to locate this wanted subject, known as Elliott Blake Johnson, age 38, of Oregon City. Elliott Johnson has a Clackamas County arrest warrant on the following charges:
