On Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 9:42 p.m., rescue personnel from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Molalla Police Department and Molalla Rural Fire District responded to a report of a pedestrian-versus-automobile crash in the 13000 block of S. Grimm Rd. in unincorporated Clackamas County.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. She is identified as Glenda Marie Hale-Morgan, 45, of Molalla.
An investigating Sheriff's Office deputy reports that the victim was sitting in the road, waiting to be picked up by some friends. The vehicle, a 2003 Ford Taurus, came over a rise in the hill and did not have time to stop before striking the victim.
Deputies do not believe that speed or alcohol were a factor. The crash is still under investigation.
