Clackamas County Sheriff's Office arrests  suspects in Oregon City home invasion/murder

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, working with the Portland Police Bureau, has arrested three suspects believed responsible for the Thursday, April 17 home-invasion robbery and murder that occurred at 15275 South Maple Lane in Oregon City. A fourth suspect is still at large.

One male adult, Joseph Ryan Pankonin, was shot and killed during this robbery event, and an additional female occupant at this residence was physically assaulted during this ordeal. Pankonin (born July 1976) resided on Bullard Street in Oregon City.

Sheriff's Office Detectives worked diligently to identify and apprehend those believed responsible for the murder. The three suspects -- now incarcerated in Clackamas County Jail on charges of Murder, Robbery 1 and Kidnapping 1 -- are identified as:

  1. Diana Lynn Engle (born March 1962) AKA: Diana Lynn Marsh, formerly of Oregon City.
  2. Shannon Ray Pierce (born August 1967), Oregon City.
  3. Darold Michael Hagerman (born January 1984), also of Oregon City


Diana Engle and Shannon Pierce were arrested late Tuesday afternoon without complication by Clackamas County Sheriff's Detectives and Portland Police Bureau personnel as this couple sat quietly in a restaurant in SE Portland.

Later Tuesday evening, Darold Hagerman was arrested without incident at his Oregon City residence.

Arraignments set for this matter are scheduled later today (Wednesday, April 23) at 3 p.m. in the Clackamas County Circuit Court in Oregon City.

ADDITIONAL SUSPECT SOUGHT

One remaining suspect is believed to have participated in this home invasion/murder. He remains at large, and is identified by investigators as Charles Jenkins Jr. (born November 1969) of Portland.

Jenkins is described as:

A reward does exist for information leading to the arrest of Charles Jenkins Jr.

Jenkins has an extensive criminal history. Please consider him armed and dangerous.
