Recruitment opened for the Community Action Board: Make a difference in the lives of people in needClackamas County Commissioners are seeking two citizen members for the low income sector and private sector to serve on the Community Action Board (CAB).
The CAB advises the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on issues concerning poverty. The Community Action Board includes members from the public, private and low income sectors.
Community Action Agencies address the causes and conditions of poverty. In Clackamas County, Community Action programs are operated through the County's Social Services Division.
As we move into uncertain financial times, ensuring that people in need have their basic needs met is more important than ever. Through membership you will help:
If you have an interest in working on issues that affect people in poverty in your community, please consider applying for appointment on the Community Action Board.
