Sheriff's Office investigates armed robbery of Sunnyside McMenamins; tips sought

On Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 11:46 p.m., an armed robbery was reported at the McMenamins located at 9757 SE Sunnyside Rd. in Clackamas.

The two armed male suspects fled the scene, and no injuries were reported.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies converged swiftly on the scene in search of the robbery suspects. Witnesses reported that the suspects had fled the McMenamins on foot, and were believed to have traveled in the direction of SE Sunnyside Road.
 
A Sheriff's Office K-9 team responded to the crime scene in an effort to track the suspects. Deputies failed to locate them.

The two armed robbery suspects are described as follows:

At approximately 11:46 p.m. on March 27, the two suspects reportedly forced entry through the rear door of the McMenamins. At the time of the robbery, a total of four people -- customers and employees -- were inside the business, and were forced to the floor by the armed suspects.

The suspects obtained money from the business safe. No injuries were reported during the commission of the crime.

First-degree armed robbery is considered a Measure 11-type felony crime in the State of Oregon.

Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating.
