DAMASCUS -- At 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, an intuitive mother detected a suspected "peeping tom" had once again returned to her residence to peer into her 14-year-old daughter's bedroom window.

The mother first alerted her husband and their male next-door neighbor -- who soon discovered the suspect in the alleged act of peeping.

The suspect physically resisted these citizens' efforts to detain him while Clackamas County deputies responded to the citizens' call. Deputies arrived at the scene and investigated -- resulting in the arrest of Paul Cameron Klick, age 43, who resides at 24475 SE Strawberry Drive in Damascus.

As a result of this suspect's effort to resist being detained, the father of the alleged peeping victim received minor injuries to his knee, elbow and nose. Medical personnel responded and evaluated these injuries. It is anticipated the father will be seeking further medical assistance later in the day.

Deputies have reportedly obtained and retained items of evidence from Paul Klick's home.

Investigators report that this alleged invasion of privacy has been suspected by the victim at or near the victim's residence for more than a year. Other neighbors allegedly suspected suspicious activity as well -- and investigators have learned that Paul Klick may have been engaging in this type of behavior for as long as ten years.

Paul Cameron Klick was interviewed by investigators, booked at the Clackamas County Jail, cited and released on one charge of Invasion of Personal Privacy -- a misdemeanor under ORS 163.700. Klick has been cited to appear for this charge in the Clackamas County Circuit Court on Aug. 8, 2009 at 3 p.m. (A booking photo is linked above.)

This investigation is ongoing.
