Sheriff's Office seeks public's help to ID stolen credit-card suspects

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, Oregon City resident Victoria M. Wechter, 44, reported to the Milwaukie Police Department that her black 1997 Honda Civic had been stolen between 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. from the 5700 block of SE International Way in Milwaukie. (MPD Case #09-3469)

On this same day at 11 p.m., the stolen Honda was found, unoccupied, in a parking lot at the address of 5777 SE International Way -- a short distance from where it was initially stolen by the unidentified suspect(s). The vehicle was recovered by Milwaukie Police.

Investigators have determined that on Oct. 14, 2009 at 7:04 p.m., a male and female suspect entered the Target store located at 9000 SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas. On this occasion, the suspects allegedly presented Victoria Wechter's stolen debit card (previously contained inside Wechter's stolen automobile) to purchase a $200 gift card and $30 cell phone.

The male and female suspect featured in these surveillance images are described as:

Suspect male

• 18-22 years of age
• White
• 5'10" tall
• 145 pounds
• Brown hair -- short, coarse, straight
• Wearing red-and-white-striped collared shirt and jeans

Suspect female

• In her 20s
• White
• 5'06" tall
• 155 pounds
• Brown hair -- medium-length, with pony tail
• Wearing gray zippered hooded top, white-wash jeans, dark-colored shirt, dark purse
