CCITF helps seize 10 pounds of heroin valued at $350,000
Posted: July 13, 2009, 3:02 p.m.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2009, investigators from the Clackamas County Inter-agency Task Force (CCITF), Drug Enforcement Administration and the Portland Police Bureau, in association with the Oregon Department of Justice, served search warrants at a residence and associated vehicles in unincorporated Milwaukie in Clackamas County.
As a result, two subjects believed to be Mexican citizens were arrested, and investigators seized approximately ten pounds of heroin.
The estimated street value of the seized heroin is in excess of $350,000.
This search warrant came at the latter stages of a year-long investigation. Local investigators worked in conjunction with investigators in southern California to identify suspects and their criminal activity. At least one suspect in California was arrested shortly after the warrants were served here in Oregon.
This investigation is ongoing -- so suspect names and further details of the investigation are not currently being made public at this time.
