On Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, following a Clackamas County Grand Jury hearing, Mussa Isai Dabud, also known as "Moses" Dabud, was indicted on the following charges:

These charges stem from an ongoing Clackamas County Sheriff's Office investigation of Dabud's alleged pattern of criminal behavior.

Dabud will be arraigned on these charges on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at 3 p.m. in Clackamas County Circuit Court. Dabud remains in custody, with bail set at $500,000. In addition, he is being detained on a hold from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

INVESTIGATIVE HISTORY

On July 25, 2009, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office was contacted by a female who reported she had been sexually assaulted by Dabud. In this case, the victim reported that she had been shopping in the Gallery Furniture store located at 12670 SE 82nd Ave in Clackamas when the attack occurred; Dabud had been working in the store as a salesman. The victim and Dabud were the only persons present in the store at the time of the attack.

As a result of a month-long investigation, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Dabud on Saturday, Aug. 22 as he arrived for work at the Gallery Furniture Store. Dabud was taken into custody and lodged in the Clackamas County Jail -- charged with one count of Attempted Rape in the First Degree and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. Dabud was arraigned on those initial charges on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009.

As a result of the media coverage surrounding Dabud's arrest and the investigators' request for additional tips, nine additional female victims have come forward. The total number of victims at present is 10 -- and investigators have reason to believe additional victims will soon be coming forward.

As a result of this ongoing investigation, investigators believe Dabud victimized women not only at the Gallery Furniture store located at 12670 SE 82nd Ave, but at another Gallery Furniture store as well, formerly located at 13720 SE Johnson Road in Clackamas.

Investigators have information that Dabud-related attacks may have occurred as far back as 2004.

This case remains under investigation, and detectives are working closely with the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office and the Oregon State Police Forensics Laboratory.

Detectives remain convinced there are additional victims who have not yet come forward. The Sheriff's office is asking anyone with information regarding Dabud, or who may have been victimized by Dabud, to please contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives would like to thank the media and again ask for their cooperation, as the victims in these cases have asked not to be contacted.
