Clackamas County begins planning for 172nd/190th corridor, open house is set for August 18

Clackamas County is working with the cities of Damascus, Happy Valley and Gresham, to plan the future look and alignment of 172nd Avenue north Sunnyside.  One of the key issues to determine is how 172nd will connect to 190th Dr. the Gresham area.

The public is invited to learn more about the project and share ideas at the 172nd/190th Corridor Plan Open House planned for 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, at Scouters Mountain Elementary School, 10811 SE 172nd, Happy Valley.

For those who might not have a chance to get to the open house on Aug. 18, a virtual open house with the same information and opportunity for input will be online at
www.172nd.com the week of Aug. 16 through 20.

The 18-month planning project involves a 21-member Public Advisory Council (PAC), made up of representatives from the community, adjacent agencies and municipalities, and interest groups.  The first meeting of the PAC is set for 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, also at Scouters Mountain Elementary School.  The public is welcome to attend.
